*Symplocos paniculata (Thunberg) Miquel. Subgenus: Palura. Sapphire-berry, Asiatic Sweetleaf. Phen: May. Hab: Suburban woodlands, spreading from horticultural use. Dist: Native of e. Asia. Spreading from plantings in the northern part of our region, such as DE, DC (Whittemore 2003), and others.
